Total Raised so far £63,249.86!!

From nothing at the begining of March to the amazing total we have raised to date we are absolutley astounded and truly humbled by peoples generosity. We have exceeded our original target already but we intend to continue with the events that we have planned to raise as much money as possible for three reasons.

There appear to be a high proportion of children undergoing this operation at present who are also having a secondary operation to lengthen heelcords. Where these children have never walked flat footed their hamstrings and heel cords have not been stretched and so need to be lengthened surgically to allow normal walking. We're worried that Keira may fall into this group and so we're trying to cover the cost of this too. We've been given an estimate of between 12k-16k. Until she gets to the US to be examined we won't know for sure whether or not this surgery is necessary, or what equipment she may need post op.

The true success of this operation is enhanced by physiotherapy, depending on what support the NHS are able to give us we may need to fund private physio to ensure that Keira has the best chance of success.

The third reason is that the more money we raise the better positioned we are to help others in the same position. A number of families who are undergoing this Op have expressed an interest in working towards setting up some form of charity to help out with others going forward. At the moment we're not sure what we'll do, whether we'll start a charity, support others in starting a charity or just help individuals.

28.10.10 - Charity Golf Day, Rowlands Castle. Really successful golf day, lots of money raised lots of food eaten lots of wine consumed....I believe there was even some golf played!! Really grateful to everyone who attended, really really grateful to everyone who bid and won the auction lots. Especially grateful to the big bidder of the night, you know who you are. Thanks to Mick and the gang for the pain, humiliation and alcohol they endured on our behalf.

24.10.10 - Great South Run, Southsea Portsmouth. Thanks to Jonathon, Stuart, Kevin and James for taking on this challenge on our behalf. Extra special thanks to the youngest member of the team, Emma Morison who took on this challenge and showed everyone just how determined she was, Well done Emma!!

11.09.10 - First Monster Challenge 2010, Loch Ness. Thanks to the guys from first buses for taking on this huge challenge, unfortunately one of the guys, Bill had an accident on his way round and had to be hospitalised effectively stopping them from being able to complete the circuit. We would like to thank Kev, Steve, Bill and Phil for taking this on in the first place because it really was a challenge and the fact that they did not complete it shows just how tough it was. Thanks Guys.

29.08.10 - Family funday, Colonial Bar Horndean . Thanks to Adam for all his work in making the day such a success. Well done to Katie for organising all the kids activities and for getting so many prizes for the raffles etc.

14.08.10 - Girls Night Out, Mountbatten centre, Portsmouth. A great night! Thanks to Chelsea Wilson for organising a wonderful night out benefitting Keira and the Rowans Hospice.

24.07.10 - Summer Ball HMS Warrior 1860, Portsmouth Dockyard What a great evening and what a fantastic setting. thanks so much to the staff of the Warrior and of course County Caterers for providing such a fantastic meal, but most of all thanks to everyone who attended and made it the success it was!

11.07.10 - 20k Run Paddington to Greenford. Eoghan Cronin & Martin Moran, What a fantastic day. We are so grateful to Eoghan and Martin for getting the customers, suppliers and staff of Morans along with their own friends and family to sponsor them a total of £10,000. We are still being surprised daily by how generous some people can be. Thank you all.

19.06.10 - Walk the Wight, IOW. Paula Conquest, John Gosling and Tara Mihell walked across the Isle of Wight. 26.5 miles!!! Thank you all for putting yourselves through this pain to help our little girl walk.

05.06.10 - Triathlon, Blenheim Palace Oxford Stuart Ambrose punishing himself 750M Swim 20Km Bike ride 5km run 3,805 competitors started 2,792 competitors finished. Stuart did it in 1hr 27mns 31 secs Fantastic work. Well done!!!

04.06.10 - Bandfest at Tir Chonaill Gaels, GreenfordWhat a great night, again so many people to thank; Siobhan, Shades of Green, Bible Code Sundays, and Potin Stil. you were all amazing. Thank you for donating your time and talent for our little girl we really really appreciate it.

W/C 24.05.10 - 3 Half Marathons Dawn Coates and Adrian Pledge walked three half Marathons in the course of a week. Really well done to both of them especially Adrian who the week before had injured his leg playing squash.

06.05.10 - Thanks to the Mayfield lot for the booksale that raised over £400!!! that's really great thanks!!

04.05.10 - Thanks so much to Tranquility Beauty Rooms and Pamper Parties for convincing Mike, Mark, Andy, James, Michael, Rob, Paul, Casey, Victor, Dave for being waxed for charity, raising over £320 which was split between Keira's Wish and the Lewis Hine Dream Holiday fund.
